Better known as the Angel of Death, Samael was one of several angels that fell with Lucifer after the holy war. Though his part remained prominent throughout religious history, his presence only being alleged. He neither confirms nor denies his acts against God for Lucifer's will. It has been said that Samael took form of the serpent that tempted Eve to retrieve the apple from the Tree of Knowledge. He's also been said to have been the angelic antagonist who wrestled with Jacob, and also the angel who held back the arm of Abraham as he was about to sacrifice his son in Judaism. As the General of Lucifer's Army, Samael has been known to be a cold, heartless, and ruthless killer. While his army is in no way mistreated, he feels the need to rule with fear rather than respect, perhaps the greatest variance between himself and the good angels of God. The day that the armies were abandoned, Samael had no mourning or confusion. He had decided that until he was given further orders, to continue on the path that he had been put on: to destroy the Holy Army, whether humanity was caught in the crossfire or not. His regard for human life was of material objects: He treated them like toys God had created for the entertainment of the supernaturals. It was his hobby, almost, tempting the humans to stray down the path of evil, only to show how they had been deceived and were damned to Hell for eternity. Samael loses no faith that his Lucifer will return to finish what he had started, and has an undying faith to the darkness that flows through his unholy blood. | |
